Access to Medications
We work closely with manufacturers, pharmaceutical companies, and providers to ensure that individuals have access to the medications needed to treat a bleeding disorder, including clotting factor replacements and other innovative therapies.
Bleeding Disorder Education
We believe that knowledge is power. Through our educational programs, we provide individuals and their families with the information and resources they need to better understand various bleeding disorders, manage symptoms, and make informed decisions about their care.
Symptoms
If you are concerned about excessive or prolonged bleeding, consult your primary care physicians for a formal diagnosis. We can help facilitate this process. Symptoms may include: excessive or prolonged bleeding, nose bleeds, easy bruising, heavy menstrual bleeding, soft tissue/muscle bleed, joint bleeds, post-surgical/post-dental bleeding, and/or extended bleeding after minor cuts or vaccinations. We are happy to consult with primary care providers on what labs to order.
Diagnosis
Based on bleeding symptoms and testing by a primary care provider, you may receive a diagnosis. If you are diagnosed with a bleeding disorder, we take an active role in your care. We welcome patients and their primary care providers to consult with us regarding lab draw results to determine a formal diagnosis.
