24/7 On-Call Coverage

Important Update to HOC’s On-Call Services

At the Hemophilia Outreach Center (HOC), we are always looking for ways to enhance patient care and improve communication. As part of this commitment, we have updated our after-hours on-call services, transitioning from AnSer Answering Service Green Bay to On Call Central, effective January 30, 2025.

Access on-call services remains the same by calling (920) 965-0606.

What This Means For You

With our new service, patients can call the on-call line for any reason. Upon calling, you will hear an automated recording with several menu options to help direct your call efficiently:

  • Get information on clinic hours and location
  • Leave a message to request an appointment change
  • Place a non-urgent medication request

For urgent medical concerns, you will have the option to leave a message that will be immediately forwarded to the on-call provider. The provider will receive both a recorded and transcribed version of your message to ensure accurate review before returning your call. If your concern is not deemed urgent, the provider will still follow up with guidance and next steps.

Spanish-Speaking Patients

  • The automated menu options are available in Spanish.
  • Spanish-speaking patients can leave messages using the Spanish-language menu.
  • Providers will return calls using International Translators to ensure clear and accurate communication.

Please Note

Before the menu options play, the system will remind you:

“If this is a medical emergency, please hang up and call 911.”

This is a standard practice to ensure immediate emergency assistance when needed.

What Stays the Same

  • You will continue to have access to qualified HOC medical professionals for guidance and support.
  • The process for accessing on-call services remains the same, by calling (920) 965-0606.
  • Office hours, scheduled appointments, and other services remain unchanged.

Next Steps for Patients

  • If you have any questions regarding this transition, please contact us at (920) 965-0606 during normal business hours.

  • If you experience any difficulties with the new system, please let us know so we can address them promptly.

We appreciate your trust in HOC and remain dedicated to providing the highest quality care. Thank you for your patience and cooperation as we implement this improvement.
