Accessibility Commitment
Ensuring equal access to digital content for users of all abilities
Accessibility Commitment
Hemophilia Outreach Center is committed to providing an accessible website experience for all users, including people of all abilities who rely on assistive technologies such as screen readers, screen enlargement software, and alternative keyboard input devices.
Ongoing Efforts to Ensure Accessibility
Our website is guided by the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) version 2.1. These internationally recognized standards outline best practices for making web content usable and accessible to a wide range of users. Our goal is to conform to WCAG 2.1 Level AA standards wherever reasonably possible.
As we add new pages and features, our designs, code, and content are reviewed with accessibility in mind. Website accessibility is an ongoing process, and we regularly test our content and functionality for WCAG 2.1 Level AA compliance. When issues are identified, we work to correct them.
Testing is performed by our team using a variety of tools and methods, including the Accessibility Checker WordPress plugin, color contrast analyzers, keyboard-only navigation testing, and Flesch-Kincaid readability tests.
